Happy Valentine's Day

Song of Solomon 2:4
(AMP) He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love [for love waved as a protecting and comforting banner over my head when I was near him].

Hosea 11: 4
(GNB) I drew them to me with affection and love. I picked them up and held them to my cheek; I bent down to them and fed them.

(CEV) I led them with kindness and with love, not with ropes. I held them close to me; I bent down to feed them.

Joh 16:27
(AMP) For the Father Himself [tenderly] loves you because you have loved Me and have believed that I came out from the Father.

1Pe 5:7(AMP) Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. [Psalms 55:22]

The Vapor of Me

Midnight musings....

Life is like a vapor so James tells us. James 4:14

Like the steam from a pot furiously boiling- about to boil over…is that steam coming from your ears? Are you racing through, impatient with you? And what of those around you? Don’t be so hot that they are scalded in the bath instead of gently warmed by the splashes of your passing them by.

Like the vapor of the morning dew hanging on the petals and leaves and glistening on the spiders web as the sun shines through it… does your life kiss the lives of others and leave a glisten of love?

Like the vapor of night when all is dark and cold and we hug our arms around us and try to hold the last bit of the day until our eyes close… help us to make the most of our moments Lord.

And in the morning we find intricate designs of the vapor on our windshields froze.

Are there intimate moments of our lives forever frozen, etched in the hearts of those

Whose lives we have intersected? Have they become signposts to you? Guides along the way to that new bright and better day?

Like the vapor of my own breath as it hangs on the crystal cold of the air… is my life here crystalline moments of Your Breath God in a world that has grown cold and old because it has forgotten Your Love? May the “breath of my life” warm it, thaw it, and turn it back to You. Let my vapor, vaporize hate and discontent, cause hardened hearts to relent. May my vapor open eyes that could not see, and experience the beauty of Life Hidden in Thee.

If my Life is but a Vapor, let it’s essence be pure, the perfume of Your Grace, the Mist of Your Life, The Steam of Divine Spark by which we all come to be… Oh may the Vapor of my life point them to THEE!

2Co 2:16

(AMP) To the latter it is an aroma [wafted] from death to death [a fatal odor, the smell of doom]; to the former it is an aroma from life to life [a vital fragrance, living and fresh]. And who is qualified (fit and sufficient) for these things? [Who is able for such a ministry? We?]

For One Who Loved Life

Today my friend's mom took flight
shedding herself of earthly light
to fly to that place lit by the One who sits on the Throne
Forever in His Presence, Finally Home!

As she was lingering betwixt here and there
bathed in His glory and our love and prayers
This song arose within my soul...
A worship of the One who truly makes us whole

A song of worship to the Giver of Life
in Whom there is no darkness, cruelty or strife
Who came and died and rose again
to rescue man from death and sin

Father of Lights, He Alone is God
To be Happy, with Him we must Trod
He gives good gifts for HE loves us so!
He gave us Jesus so we would always know...

That He carries us close to His Heart
and Paid the cost so we never have to be apart
And when to our loved ones we must say "goodbye"
It is straight to His arms that each can fly.

For In HIM We Live and have our Being
In HIM we Move and have a Song to Sing!
In Him There is no Night and we Never Die
For Jesus Christ is The Resurrection and The Life.

"Above All" is the song HE gave my heart to sing
as my friend's mom took off on unrestricted wing
She who "loved Life" has now met HIM face to face
Jesus the Our Lord and the Giver of Life and Grace!

Loved one, live well there on Heaven's shore
Someday we too shall come through those doors
What a welcome home party there must be
Oh Happy reunion, a Glorious Jubilee!

Above all powers above all kings
Above all nature and all created things
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man
You were here before the world began

Above all kindgoms above all thrones
Above all wonders the world has ever known
Above all wealth and treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure what You're worth

Crucified laid behind a stone
You lived to die rejected and alone
Like a rose trampled on the ground
You took the fall and thought of me
Above all

Above all powers above all kings
Above all nature and all created things
Above all wisdom and all the ways of man
You were here before the world began

Above all kindgoms above all thrones
Above all wonders the world has ever known
Above all wealth and treasures of the earth
There's no way to measure what You're worth

Crucified, laid behind a stone
You lived to die rejected and alone
Like a rose trampled on the ground
You took the fall and thought of me
Above all

Crucified, laid behind a stone
You lived to die rejected and alone
Like a rose trampled on the ground
You took the fall and thought of me
Above all

Like a rose trampled on the ground
You took the fall and thought of me
Above all

Thank you Jesus!
