Correction from Dad

I was contemplating some people's penchant for always "seeking a word from God" through others, as well as my own desire not to be just tinkling brass and was reminded of the following quip:

"Oh LORD! Fill my mouth with worthwhile stuff and
nudge me
when I've said enough."

As soon as I wrote it, God spoke:

"IT is ALL worthwhile stuff Daughter when it is flowing from my Throne. What may seem inconsequential to you, may be a life jacket to someone else.

It is time to stop judging another man's servant and begin
to see with
My eyes, hear with My ears, Love with My Heart.
Too long My Body has cut itself up.

(This includes judging yourselves by standards other than Mine.)

It is time for my Sent Ones to speak Healing, to flow in gentle Boldness and to pull down from Heaven what I long to see manifested there in the Earth realm. It WILL happen. My question is do you want it to be sooner or later?

If your answer is sooner- then draw closer to ME,
for it is in constant
communion and flow with Me that it shall be."

I questioned, "Speak Healing?"

He answered, "When you speak the Truth in Love, when you stand for Purity and righteousness you bring Healing to the Land and My people. You also bring divisiveness, because the Plumb line is drawn and people will have to choose.

But your job is to stay tuned in to Me, connected so I can flow out of and through you as you keep the channel clear for that Holy Ghost flow. I draw the Plumb line with My Word, as you speak My Word in Love, they will be drawn to step over the line to where you stand... drawn by the Love and anointing that flows from an Awakened Heart that is full of ME."

Oh Abba! I WANT more of You!

"And I Daughter, want MORE of YOU!"

"WE long for the Wedding Day. Work with My Spirit as He gets things ready. I AM calling my Bride away to come aside and spend time with ME, getting to know ME, for I do not intend to be a stranger on Our Wedding Day.

And there is much to accomplish as She acts as my Agent of Change in these perilous times. It is imperative that she know my voice clearly and be intimately acquainted with ME. For I will not have her deceived.

Nor will I allow mans fingerprints to mar her."

Before You Call I Will Answer

Had a neat thing happen tonight. Before I tell you that , I will give you some background info:

I graduated in 1992 from VIBTC (Victory International Bible Training Center.) It is an international school, but our graduating classes here stateside have been small groups at a time. We have a tie that binds and so it is like old home week whenever we meet again. I have been waiting to hear about a reunion that was being scheduled. I finally JUST learned last night through a friend that it is in about 10 days! Talk about scrambling to make the reservation list!

I told the Lord, I'd really like to go Daddy,BUT I don't know where the funds for this are going to come from... it is not really in the budget- what with the wedding coming up and all...

Tonight I stopped by to drop some papers off at another friend's place, who also graduated several years before me. They invited me to come in and chat and even fed me dinner. We started talking about the upcoming luncheon and seeing everyone and they wanted to know if I was going. I said I wasn't sure because I'd just found out about it and had to check the budget... and we moved on in conversation. Then the spouse came into the room after finishing a phone call in another room and asked me if we were going, Tom and I. I said I didn't think Tom was and the next words were- "well, we wanted to bless you and pay your way, please find out if he can or wants to go!"

Later this evening I was praying for my spiritual son Olu who has a strong burden for missionary work and has just planted a church in Benin Republic, Africa... As I was praying for him and the horizons and borders, Daddy began to speak to ME! It was for me, but it is for YOU too as well as my son:

"It is my Good Pleasure to bless you and give you your heart's desire! Remember the Bride doll?"

( When I was 8 years old we were visiting my Mom's family in Oregon. We went shopping- Christmas was around the corner. They took me to some store that was HUGE! I was dumbfounded by this place, I'd never seen a store this big with shelves up to the ceiling! In the toy aisles I found a B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L Bride doll with veil dressed in White Satin. I fell in love with that doll! I drug my parents to see it several times, while in the store. I did not ask for it, I just drank in how beautiful it was. I never thought it could possibly be mine, though I wished it were! Christmas morning I awoke and came out to find the doll sitting on top of the TV! I thought I was dreaming and went and got back into bed and back out again and it was still there! I still have that doll to this day!) (See photo at top!)

"While you swooned over that doll and wished, your father and mother secretly planned to surprise you with it. Just as they gave you a gift, so I want to give to you! I put that thought into their hearts daughter because I your Heavenly Father love you and wanted you to have a reference of HOW I LONG TO SURPRISE you with blessings! Your joy and delight and gratitude over the smallest of things pleases Me and opens the door to give you more.

Your childlike joy and trust to come to Me with your heart and requests causes Me to bend closer to listen to you intently, even as you would a small child. Never forget you are my child, even though you are grown and doing exploits in the Kingdom, you are still My Child! And I delight in taking care of you and having time WITH you."

Selah! Love from HIS heart and mine too...
Nancy

Late Night With the Lord

I was reading "Storm Warriors," by Mahesh Chavada last night. I didn't get too far because I got arrested by Love! I just got to thinking about HIS Love!

My Dad is ALWAYS pointing me back to YADA (The Hebrew Word for "knowing" or Intimacy in relationship with Abba) Absolutely Everything hinges on Yada.

Mahesh said this: (pg. 38)
"The degree to which you will walk in victory is equal to the degree to which you will develop an intimate telationship with your loving heavenly Father."
The following is what I wrote just before I fell asleep last night:

Love. Expressive, Collective Aromatic, Fullfilling,
Dazzling, Compelling.

Love tore off a roof (the 4 friends getting their sick friend to Jesus)
Love gave her 1st born to God. (Hannah)
Love risked stoning to carry Jesus (Mary)
Love gave all she had-2 mites. (The widow woman)
HE gave all HE had too!
Love constrains me, compels me, woos me, wins me.
Sends me.

What will you do for Love? For God's Sake?
What will you let Love do for you? Through you?
What will you receive, acheive that's already
been done FOR you?

Post thoughts:
Only God (LOVE) knows how HE will touch the World using my hands.

LET HIM.

Questions for you:

Make a list of things you can do - give them to God and ask Him to give you opportunities for Him to do them.

How do you see yourself? Now ask God to show you how HE sees you! Line up to His vision.

Prayer to pray:
Lord forgive me for the times I have called You a liar by not agreeing with You in what You say about me. Forgive my letting petty things and mean, small minded people get in the way of the Grandness of WHO YOU ARE. Expand me Lord! Help me take the limits off of You, off of myself! Lord I DO love You. Let that Love be reflected in everything I do. Let Love compell me not to answer back when spoken to harshly. The very essence of You coming through in every nuance, every action, every look. Slay the Old Man, drown him in Your Love till only the fire of desire for You remains. Amen.

What Do You See?

Recently I stepped out of a building into the parking lot, heading for my car, when I heard all this commotion over my head. Not wanting to look straight up in case there was some fall out, I waited until I had moved a little away from the sound to look up. What I saw really spoke volumes to my heart! I saw a mocking bird giving chase to a HUGE crow!

Now if you are not familiar with mocking birds, they are the size of robins, but slight in build. The crow was a good 2 1/2 times larger than the mocking bird. It seemed it would surely out-fly the smaller bird. But I watched as the mocking bird picked up speed and flew right up to the tail of that big old crow, all the way hollering at it! It quite obviously had transgressed on the smaller bird's territory- either her nesting area, if a Mama bird, or the territory chosen by a male bird and marked as his, for choosing out a mate.

I immediately thought of David and Goliath. David didn't see a GIANT that towered over him, but rather he saw an uncircumcised philistine (meaning having NO COVENANT with the LIVING GOD of Israel!) who was but a pip squeak in comparison with GOD ALMIGHTY.

I have pondered all week the sight of that mocking bird in hot pursuit of that crow! Do we hotly pursue the enemy of our souls when he comes in trying to steal and kill and destroy us? Or do we lay back and whine? David picked up a slingshot and 5 rocks... Let me show you something here... I've heard teaching on what those 5 stones mean, but the bottom line is Jesus is the ROCK and each stone represents some facet of Life in Him. The Slingshot propels the rocks forward... my Bible says that God's Word is a NAIL in a SURE place and will NOT return unto HIM void! When we speak (propel) the Word into our situations, then EVERY giant MUST fall!

  • So when you pray do you see a giant problem or do you see a GIANT GOD?

(Luke 1:37 (AMP)
For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment. )

  • When you look in the mirror do you see a GIANT SLAYER or a grasshopper?

(Numbers 13:33
(AMP) There we saw the Nephilim [or giants], the sons of Anak, who come from the giants; and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

1Samuel 17:36
Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.)

  • When you look into the Word do you have Giant Expectations of God fulfilling that Word and Its promises in Your Lifetime?

(Ps. 27: 13-14
[What, what would have become of me] had I not believed that I would see the Lord's goodness in the land of the living! Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord. )

What do you see?

And the Lord would say:

I will tell you what I see My Children. I see My Sons and Daughters clothed in Light, shining as stars chasing away the darkness of this time. I see my Chosen Ones in Priestly array standing in the gap. I see my Valiant Ones outfitted in the finest armour. Armour that will withstand any attack and with weapons of warfare that will defeat any enemy. I see my Blood Bought Bride , standing tall, ready for combat and ready for Love! Oh that YOU would see yourselves as I see you! Oh that you would walk about in total Peace and with the Authority that I have laid upon your shoulders! Oh that your eyes would be opened to who you really are! For your enemy knows and he sets about to blind you of the reality of your position and your power, but he cannot. Look to ME. I will lighten your countenance until my Glory is so bright upon you that it will seem as if you are engulfed in flames! And so you shall be! Engulfed in a Holy Passion for Your Holy God and we shall be unquenchable, unstoppable and all shall see ME in You. THIS IS WHAT I SEE, AND SO IT SHALL BE. Set your sights on ME and line up your words with what I see and My Glory will flow through thee like molten hot lava to a world that needs set free.

Your Amazing Love

I woke up with a song playing in my head and heart this morning. It has stayed with me all day. I love to awake with a song in my heart, don't you? The song is
"Lord I'm Amazed By you." Lord I'm Amazed By you- How you love me!

Now you may ask, "Oh sister Nancy, what did God do to make you wake with that song?" It's not that HE has done any one thing- it is just the fact of WHO HE IS and HOW HE LOVES ME!

I love how uncomplicated children are. Direct, unsullied and open (until we adults mar them and bring our junk into their lives!) Too quickly they lose their innocence and learn the ways of the world, if they are not kept and guarded. But just watch them interact and play. They do not hide their approval or displeasure. They voice what is in their hearts right then. Feelings get hurt and tears flow. But an "I'm sorry" and they are all smiles again. They trustingly invite you into their world and share unreservedly. Do we invite Jesus into our world trustingly and share it with Him unreservedly?

Jesus said, in Matthew 18

1. At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

2And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,

3And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

4Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

5And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

For a minute forget all that is pressing in and instead you press into the arms of Love and get swept away in His Love for You. You won't regret it. And maybe, just maybe, while you are there, you'll catch a glimpse of things He has in store and in mind to bless you and to cause you to be a blessing.

As You've Never Heard It Before

Part 2:

My Dad sent the audio of this video out to his Church and friends. I found the video and posted it here. God Bless America!

To my sons- who know me as their "American Mother"- may you see deep into the heart of what makes me American- it is more than a birthright that I "happened" to be born here... it is a calling and destiny forged on the backs and with the blood of my forefathers who CHOSE this country, who fought and died to protect her right to BE. And then opened her shores to accept with open arms and hearts all who would want to be free to serve and Love God.

What sets America apart is this, it is a nation that was called by God and God is STILL calling her to be that nation called by Him. Sadly, many are serving the god of SELF.

Please pray for America, that she would come back to God!

Your friends of the heart,
Nancy & Tom

Star Spangled Banner
Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
A home and a country should leave us no more!
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

In case you wonder why I

love this country.

This was sent to me by a

former Fighter pilot.

Let us lift up all our armed

forces in prayer.

Happy Independence day!

"Star Spangle Banner."

Happy Birthday America.

Happy 4th of July To All!!

PS. from Nancy: For those who have posted elsewhere that this is a fictitious account... I would say to you... If it holds error in rendition of some of the facts, it does NOT hold error in the Passion and LOVE for Our Country! Something we would ALL do well to revive! For those who are born here- Pledge your Allegiance to Our Flag and LOVE YOUR COUNTRY! For those who NOW live here, respect and honor America and those who have died so that YOU can live here in freedom and without fear of reprisal.

Below is an additional article:

Francis Scott Key was a respected young lawyer living in Georgetown just west of where the modern day Key Bridge crosses the Potomac River (the house was torn down after years of neglect in 1947). He made his home there from 1804 to around 1833 with his wife Mary and their six sons and five daughters. At the time, Georgetown was a thriving town of 5,000 people just a few miles from the Capitol, the White House, and the Federal buildings of Washington.

But, after war broke out in 1812 over Britian's attempts to regulate American shipping and other activities while Britain was at war with France, all was not tranquil in Georgetown. The British had entered Chesapeake Bay on August 19th, 1814, and by the evening of the 24th of August, the British had invaded and captured Washington. They set fire to the Capitol and the White House, the flames visible 40 miles away in Baltimore.

President James Madison, his wife Dolley, and his Cabinet had already fled to a safer location. Such was their haste to leave that they had had to rip the Stuart portrait of George Washington from the walls without its frame!

A thunderstorm at dawn kept the fires from spreading. The next day more buildings were burned and again a thunderstorm dampened the fires. Having done their work the British troops returned to their ships in and around the Chesapeake Bay.

In the days following the attack on Washington, the American forces prepared for the assault on Baltimore (population 40,000) that they knew would come by both land and sea. Word soon reached Francis Scott Key that the British had carried off an elderly and much loved town physician of Upper Marlboro, Dr. William Beanes, and was being held on the British flagship TONNANT. The townsfolk feared that Dr. Beanes would be hanged. They asked Francis Scott Key for his help, and he agreed, and arranged to have Col. John Skinner, an American agent for prisoner exchange to accompany him.

On the morning of September 3rd, he and Col. Skinner set sail from Baltimore aboard a sloop flying a flag of truce approved by President Madison. On the 7th they found and boarded the TONNANT to confer with Gen. Ross and Adm. Alexander Cochrane. At first they refused to release Dr. Beanes. But Key and Skinner produced a pouch of letters written by wounded British prisoners praising the care they were receiving from the Americans, among them Dr. Beanes. The British officers relented but would not release the three Americans immediately because they had seen and heard too much of the preparations for the attack on Baltimore. They were placed under guard, first aboard the H.M.S. Surprise, then onto the sloop and forced to wait out the battle behind the British fleet.

Now let's go back to the summer of 1813 for a moment. At the star-shaped Fort McHenry, the commander, Maj. George Armistead, asked for a flag so big that "the British would have no trouble seeing it from a distance". Two officers, a Commodore and a General, were sent to the Baltimore home of Mary Young Pickersgill, a "maker of colours," and commisioned the flag. Mary and her thirteen year old daughter Caroline, working in an upstairs front bedroom, used 400 yards of best quality wool bunting. They cut 15 stars that measured two feet from point to point. Eight red and seven white stripes, each two feet wide, were cut. Laying out the material on the malthouse floor of Claggett's Brewery, a neighborhood establishment, the flag was sewn together. By August it was finished. It measured 30 by 42 feet and cost $405.90. The Baltimore Flag House, a museum, now occupies her premises, which were restored in 1953.

At 7 a.m. on the morning of September 13, 1814, the British bombardment began, and the flag was ready to meet the enemy. The bombardment continued for 25 hours, the British firing 1,500 bombshells that weighed as much as 220 pounds and carried lighted fuses that would supposedly cause it to explode when it reached its target. But they weren't very dependable and often blew up in mid air. From special small boats the British fired the new Congreve rockets that traced wobbly arcs of red flame across the sky. The Americans had sunk 22 vessels so a close approach by the British was not possible. That evening the connonading stopped, but at about 1 a.m. on the 14th, the British fleet roared to life, lighting the rainy night sky with grotesque fireworks.

Key, Col. Skinner, and Dr. Beanes watched the battle with apprehension. They knew that as long as the shelling continued, Fort McHenry had not surrendered. But, long before daylight there came a sudden and mysterious silence. What the three Americans did not know was that the British land assault on Baltimore as well as the naval attack, had been abandoned. Judging Baltimore as being too costly a prize, the British officers ordered a retreat.

Waiting in the predawn darkness, Key waited for the sight that would end his anxiety; the joyous sight of Gen. Armisteads great flag blowing in the breeze. When at last daylight came, the flag was still there!

Being an amatuer poet and having been so uniquely inspired, Key began to write on the back of a letter he had in his pocket. Sailing back to Baltimore he composed more lines and in his lodgings at the Indian Queen Hotel he finished the poem. Judge J. H. Nicholson, his brother-in-law, took it to a printer and copies were circulated around Baltimore under the title "Defence of Fort M'Henry". Two of these copies survive. It was printed in a newspaper for the first time in the Baltimore Patriot on September 20th,1814, then in papers as far away as Georgia and New Hampshire. To the verses was added a note "Tune: Anacreon in Heaven." In October a Baltimore actor sang Key's new song in a public performance and called it "The Star-Spangled Banner".

Immediately popular, it remained just one of several patriotic airs until it was finally adopted as our national anthem on March 3, 1931. But the actual words were not included in the legal documents. Key himself had written several versions with slight variations so discrepancies in the exact wording still occur.

The flag, our beloved Star-Spangled Banner, went on view ,for the first time after flying over Fort McHenry, on January 1st,1876 at the Old State House in Philadelphia for the nations' Centennial celebration. It now resides in the Smithsonian Institution's Museum of American History. An opaque curtain shields the now fragile flag from light and dust. The flag is exposed for viewing for a few moments once every hour during museum hours.

Francis Scott Key was a witness to the last enemy fire to fall on Fort McHenry. The Fort was designed by a Frenchman named Jean Foncin and was named for then Secretary of war James McHenry. Fort McHenry holds the unique designation of national monument and historic shrine.

Since May 30th, 1949 the flag has flown continuously, by a Joint Resolution of Congress, over the monument marking the site of Francis Scott Key's birthplace, Terra Rubra Farm, Carroll County, Keymar, Maryland.

The copy that Key wrote in his hotel September 14,1814, remained in the Nicholson family for 93 years. In 1907 it was sold to Henry Walters of Baltimore. In 1934 it was bought at auction in New York from the Walters estate by the Walters Art Gallery, Baltimore for $26,400. The Walters Gallery in 1953 sold the manuscript to the Maryland Historical Society for the same price. Another copy that Key made is in the Library of Congress.
